Quality Assurance - Eurolink Examinations Board
The Eurolink Examinations Board was initially set up to provide an internal independant means of quality assurance control. The Board comprises an Academic Panel made up of senior tutors all of whom are well-qualified and highly experienced in the world of TESOL distance-training. From time to time expert consultants in the field are co-opted to advise the panel.
Eurolink quality assurance is co-ordinated by the Board and embraces two main areas:
Academic quality assurance
Quality assessment procedures
Academic quality assurance of course material is maintained, initially through expert consultant editing, then as a result of monitoring trainee feedback and, finally through tutor-assessors' reports and comments at standardisation meetings.
Quality assessment procedures include moderation of a percentage of all trainee tutor-assessed work and through regular assessors' standardisation meetings. Further external moderation is carried out by examiners appointed by the Accreditation Council for TESOL Distance Education Courses.
