About Training Link Online

Training Link Online, part of the Eurolink group, was set up as a separate organisation in response to the demand for relatively short, but highly professional, initial distance-learning programmes of a practical nature.

The Eurolink Group is based in Sheffield, in the United Kingdom, and has offered distance training courses in TESOL for the past 25 years.

Training Link Online courses

Training Link Online is the most recent addition to the Eurolink Group Portfolio and provides four main separate courses online: the Preliminary Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL, Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL, Certificate in Practical Phonetics, Certificate in TESOL and the Advanced Certificate in TESOL.

Our online approach

Our courses are delivered in the form of PDF files, a universal format compatible with all PCs and Apple Mac computers. When you enrol you are provided with log-in details for one or more download areas. Access to these enables you to download your input modules, answer keys to check your self-assessed answers and your tutor-assessed worksheets. You will need to print the tutor-assessed worksheets and return those to Training Link Online by post.

Printed worksheets

Worksheets are returned by post. The reasons for this are various. Firstly, it's important to maintain a healthy degree of interactivity with your tutors. This helps to reduce the loneliness of the learner and helps establish close links with tutors. Secondly, with these substantial courses, most students would rather avoid spending all their time staring at a computer screen, but would rather mix computer use with reading and writing. Reading from paper feels more natural and comfortable. Furthermore, you won't accidentally close your work and lose all the answers you've painstakingly typed in! A third important reason for hand-written assignments is practising phonetic transcription, which is an essential part of any good TESOL training course!
